“With Nitelite records (label of Do It Yourself-Milano), Regina cut her first single in 1996, which was entitled “Regina”, she choose to do a cover of one of the most beautiful ballads of the 1960’s, giving birth to the dance hit, “Killing me Softly”.
In only a short while after the record’s release, it was already at the top of the radio charts and would stay there for a good 8 weeks, also becoming the top seller in sales. “Killing me Softly” became a summer hit and one of the most danced to pieces in the Italian discos.
A few singers have succeeded in staying on the dance scene like Regina. Thanks to her vocal qualities and a pop flavor, Regina introduces herself with a “new attitude”.
In 2003, she came back on the scene with a collaboration with the Italian pop artist Neffa on his album entitled “I molteplici Mondi di Giovanni, il cantante Neffa” in which she sang “O tempo e o vento”, written together with Neffa.
Here are just a few of the many other TVs and radio shows/programs she has participated in: Festivalbar, Super, Help, Roxy Bar, 105 Night Express, Deejay Tv, Furore, Doppia Vu, Sanremo Dance, Euro Machine (Matchmusic), Crazy Dance, Live Zone (Disney Channel), MTV, All Music, etc. and that’s only speaking about the Italian transmissions!
Without leaving the side her passion for the cinema, she did her first experiences in Brasil and France where she worked with artists like Irene Papas and Philippe Leotard in the movie “Le banquet” by Marco Ferreri.
She’s now a part of the gospel choir of the new Piero Chiambretti’s program broadcasted by La7 TV every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
